Who I am

Oli Batstone Design Limited (company number 17111922, registered in England and Wales) is the data controller for the information you share through this site. You can reach me at hi@olibatstone.com.

What I collect, and why

Newsletter. If you subscribe, I collect your email address, your role and content preferences if you choose to share them. I use it to send occasional notes on health product design. My basis is your consent, which you give by subscribing and confirming, and can withdraw at any time.

Booking a call. If you book a discovery call, I collect your name, email, and anything you choose to tell me about your project, so I can prepare for and hold the call.

Buying a flow audit. If you buy an audit, you pay through Stripe. I never see or store your card details. You also give me the details I need to run the audit. I use this to deliver the service and to meet my legal and accounting obligations.

Forms and surveys. If you fill in a form or survey, I collect your answers, and your email if you give it.

Emailing me. If you email me, I keep your message and address so I can reply.

Using the site. I use privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies and collect no personal data. My host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to run the site securely.

Who else handles your data

I use a few trusted services to run my business. Each processes your data on my instructions, under contract:

Some of these are based outside the UK, including in the US. Where that's the case, they handle your data under safeguards approved for international transfers. I don't sell your data, and I don't share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long I keep it

Only as long as I need it: until you ask me to delete it, until you unsubscribe, or until our relationship ends and any legal or accounting obligations are met, whichever applies first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete, or get a copy of your data, object to how I use it, or withdraw consent, at any time. Email me at hi@olibatstone.com and I'll sort it.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
